Pay Per Use Roaming
1. What is Pay Per Use Roaming?
  This service allows all M1 postpaid mobile customers who are not on M1 Roaming subscription to roam without any registration and monthly subscription fees. Customers on Pay Per Use Roaming only need to pay for what they use while roaming.

Customers on Pay Per Use Roaming can enjoy the following roaming services:
 
Roaming coverage from over 200 countries and territories
Voice calls, SMS, MMS and GPRS Roaming (e.g. Email and Internet Surfing)
Missed Call Alert
   
2. Missed Call Alert
  There are no registration and monthly subscription fees, so you only pay for what you use while roaming.
   
3. What are the charges like?
  You only need to pay for what you use while roaming at a flat per minute rate plus the foreign operator's local airtime charges, wherever applicable.
 
  In Malaysia Other Countries
All incoming and outgoing calls $1.50 per minute* $2.50 per minute*
 
   
4. What roaming destinations support Pay Per Use Roaming?
  You can receive calls, send/receive SMS from over 200 countries and destinations that M1 roams to. You can also MMS and enjoy GPRS Roaming from 70 countries and territories.

You can make outgoing calls back to Singapore by dialling
  *138*<Singapore Phone Number>#<Send>
   
5. How can I apply for Pay Per Use Roaming?
  This service will be automatically activated for all M1 postpaid mobile customers who are not on M1 Roaming subscription. However, we advise that you confirm that the service is activated before you travel by calling our Customer Service at 1627.

Alternatively, to apply for Pay Per User Roaming, you can
 
SMS "PPUR <NRIC e.g. SXXXXXXXA>" to 1627 or
Visit Self Service Online at MiWorld.com.sg or
Call Customer Service at 1627
  Please note that Call Barring service will not be available when Pay Per Use Roaming is activated. If you would like to have your Call Barring service instead, please call 1627.
   
6. How can I check that Pay Per Use Roaming is activated on my line?
  You can call 1627 to check on the status.
   
7. How can I deactivate Pay Per Use Roaming?
  You can do so by calling 1627.
   
8. How do I make outgoing calls back to Singapore while overseas?
  You can make a hassle-free connection back to Singapore on any foreign operator's network that supports M1 call back service *138*. Please note that direct dialing is not available for Pay Per Use Roaming.
   
9. What should I do if I am unable to use *138* to call back Singapore?
  Try switching to another foreign network operator that supports this function.
   
10. Can I use *138* to make outgoing calls to other countries besides Singapore while roaming?
  This will be available to you soon.
   
11. Can I make local calls within the overseas destination on Pay Per Use Roaming?
  This function will be available soon.
   
12. Can I retrieve my voicemail while roaming?
  Yes, by dialling

13. How do I contact M1 Customer Service while roaming?

14. Can I perform call divert from my phone while roaming?
  This depends if the foreign operator allows this function to be done on its network. Generally, this is allowed.
   
15. Which are the destinations that I can use GPRS service?

16. How much am I charged when using SMS, MMS and GPRS?
  Charges will be the same as those applicable to customers on roaming subscription.
   
17. Can I roam in Japan, Korea and other non-GSM networks on Pay Per Use Roaming?
  You have to subscribe to M1 Roaming service and visit our Customer Service Centre to rent a roaming handset.
