Terms & Conditions
SunPerks
Eligibility
All M1 mobile customers and M1 IDD residential fixed line customers are eligible for this programme. Customers who are on the Corporate and Staff Plans, and all Corporate Premium, M1 Citibank Visa* and The M Card customers are not eligible.

 
 
Issuance and Redemption of SunPerks Points
1 point will be issued for every $1 billed (inclusive of GST, where applicable) for the following items:
 
I. One-time charges
 
Registration of line
Registration of VAS
Choice / Auction / Lucky Number
Change of Number
Transfer Fee
Change of Bill Plan
Connection / Reconnection fees
F&F - Change of Number administrative fees

Unbundled Airtime (ie. Chargeable airtime)

Bonus Points
On reaching each new 1,000 SunPerks point mark, customers will be awarded 100 bonus points.
 
 
Redemption of Points
Only M1 customers with active lines and no outstanding bills can redeem their points. Customers must maintain sufficient points for redemption. Customers can combine their points from different lines / bills to make redemption as long as the lines are registered under the same NRIC.
   
M1 Customers who are blacklisted according to M1's record and/or have outstanding bills are not allowed to redeem their points.
   
Points cannot be redeemed for credit or cash. Points can be redeemed at any time through the specified redemption channels. Once points are redeemed, they cannot be refunded or reversed. M1 shall not be responsible for points redeemed by persons other than the customer.
 
 
Forfeiture of Points
A customer's points will be forfeited under the following circumstances:
 
Termination of line or account
Transfer of line or account
 
 
Redemption of Rewards
Use of handset upgrade discount and mobile accessory discount is subject to M1 Shop's existing business policies, and terms & conditions.
The handset upgrade discount / Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD can only be redeemed on a mobile phone number registered in the customer's name. Should a customer change his mobile phone number during his Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD redemption (without any transfer or termination of his account), the Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD redeemed will continue for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD redeemed will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period.
Should the mobile phone number with a Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD redemption be temporarily suspended, the Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for Local airtime / Subscription / VAS / IDD / Handset upgrade discount / Mobile accessories discount / Prepaid card redemption.
In the event that a participating redemption partner is not able to supply goods or services as stated in the rewards voucher, the participating redemption partner reserves the right to supply alternative products or services of similar quality or price to the customer.
All vouchers are valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
Extension of validity of vouchers will not be entertained.
Vouchers are valid for one-time use only, and cannot be combined for a single purchase, unless otherwise stated. Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, credit or another reward.
Customer has to settle any outstanding amount separately, should the total amount of the bill or purchase exceed the value of the voucher.
Vouchers are valid only for items stated, and cannot be used in combination with other sale items, promotions, or discount cards.
Any charge resulting from the cancellation of bookings, amendments, etc, will be borne by the customer. The customer will be responsible for all cash top-ups, weekend/holiday surcharges, and these charges will be paid by the customer directly to the participating redemption partner.
The use of the voucher is subject to the participating redemption partner's terms & conditions, which the customer agrees to abide when accepting the voucher.
 
 
How to use the Voucher
To redeem a reward, customer must present his / her original identification document (NRIC / Passport) with the voucher at the participating redemption partner's outlet.
The voucher is issued in the name, address and NRIC of the customer. It may be used by a third party as long as he / she presents a copy of the M1 customer's identification document (NRIC / Passport).
The voucher will be issued at the discretion of M1. M1 reserves the right to substitute the voucher at any time.
 
 
Commencement Date and Expiry of Points
All customers who signed up with M1 between 1 April 1997 and 31 December 1998 begin their participation in the M1 SunPerks programme from 1 January 1999. For new customers, their Join Date to the M1 SunPerks programme will be calculated from the Activation Date of their first line. (E.g. if a customer subscribes to an M1 line on 1 March 2001, his/her Commencement Date to the M1 SunPerks programme will begin on 1 March 2001. Should he/she decide to take on another line under the same account, his/her Commencement Date will remain as 1 March 2001. Points accumulated will be valid for 2 years from the customer's Commencement Date to the programme.)
 
 
Others
M1's decision on all matters pertaining to the M1 SunPerks programme is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
M1 reserves the right at any time and at its absolute discretion, without giving any reason or notice, to vary these Terms and Conditions, or terminate the programme.
 
All M1 SunPerks members shall be bound by such variations, if any.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Local Airtime Redemption
Customer can choose to redeem for free local airtime for periods of 3 / 6 / 9 months, tagged at different SunPerks points levels.
Upon making their redemption, customers will enjoy the SunPerks free local airtime over the following 3 / 6 / 9 months. During this 3 / 6 / 9-month period, the SunPerks free local airtime will begin only after the completion of the free monthly bundled airtime of the customer's service plan.
If the service plan's bundled airtime has not been fully utilised, the SunPerks free local airtime that month will be forfeited and will not be extended for use in the next month.
A customer can redeem his free local airtime at any one time. Free local airtime will only be given to 1 mobile phone number of the customer's choice, which must be registered under that customer's name. In the event that another redemption for free local airtime is made for the same mobile phone number, the second redemption period will begin once the first ends.
If the customer has more than 1 mobile phone number and makes another airtime redemption at the same time, it will be given to the mobile phone number he specifies, which must also be registered under that customer's name. In this case, concurrent airtime redemption will be allowed.
If the mobile phone number is changed during the redemption period, the airtime redemption will continue for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any local airtime redemption will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period.
Should the mobile phone number with a local airtime redemption be temporarily suspended, the local airtime redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for subscription redemption.
All other terms and conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards programme apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Bill Plan Subscription Redemption
Customers can choose to redeem for subscription for periods of 3 / 6 / 9 months, tagged at different SunPerks points levels.
Subscription redemption can take place concurrently with an existing Bonus discount or other promotional subscription discounts.
Subscription redemption can only be made on a mobile phone number registered in the customer's name. In the event that there is more than one subscription redemption, the second redemption period will begin after the first has ended.
If the customer has more than 1 mobile phone number and makes another subscription redemption at the same time, it will apply to the mobile number he specifies, which must be registered under that customer's name.
The rebate from the subscription redemption will take effect from the customer's next billing date. If the next billing date is within 5 days of the date of redemption, the rebate will occur on the following billing date (i.e. 2 bills later).
If the mobile phone number is changed during the redemption period, the subscription redemption will continue for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
If the customer opts for subscription redemption and the combined total of all his subscription discount (bonus, promotional subscription, and SunPerks subscription discounts) exceeds his monthly subscription payment for the month, the unused amount from the SunPerks redemption will be forfeited, and cannot be carried over to the following month's subscription.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any subscription redemption will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period.
Should the mobile phone number with a subscription redemption be temporarily suspended, the subscription redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for subscription redemption.
All other terms and conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards programme apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Value-Added Service (VAS) Redemption
Customers can choose from selected Value-Added Services (VAS) to be redeemed for periods of 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months, tagged at different SunPerks points levels.
A customer with only 1 mobile phone number can redeem a free VAS at any one time i.e. free VAS will only be given to that 1 mobile phone number (eg 9681 1111). The mobile phone number must be registered in that customer's name. Should he choose to redeem the same VAS again, the new redemption period will begin as soon as the first redemption period ends. However, if the customer redeems more than one type of VAS at the same time, the redemption periods of the VAS can begin simultaneously on the same mobile phone number.
If a customer has more than 1 mobile phone number and makes more than 1 VAS redemption at the same time, it will be applied to the mobile phone number he specifies (eg 9681 2222).
If a customer redeems a VAS that he currently subscribes to, the VAS subscription will be free during the redemption period. Subscription charges will resume when the VAS redemption period ends.
If a customer is redeeming a VAS for the first time and has no prior subscription to the VAS, the connection fee of that VAS will be waived. Subscription charges will continue once the VAS redemption period has ended.
If the customer is currently enjoying a promotion (e.g. Free 3-month Caller Number Display for new line sign-up), redemption for the VAS should be made only after the promotion has ended.
Should a customer change his mobile phone number during his VAS redemption (without any transfer or termination of his account), the VAS redeemed will continue for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any VAS redeemed will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period
Should the mobile phone number with a VAS redemption be temporarily suspended, the VAS redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
For VAS redemption, customers are required to redeem through a Customer Service Officer by calling Customer Service Hotline at 1627.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for VAS redemption.
All other terms & conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards Programme apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Local SMS Redemption
Only applicable to local SMS (5.25¢ per SMS inclusive of GST).
Applicable only to M1 GSM customers.
If the service plan's bundled SMS has not been fully utilised, the SunPerks free local SMS that month will be forfeited and will not be extended for use in the next month.
SMS redemption can only be made on a mobile number registered in the customer's name. In the event that there is more than one SMS redemption, the second redemption period will begin after the first has ended.
The rebate from the SMS redemption will take effect from the customer's next billing date.
Should a customer change his mobile phone number during his SMS redemption (without any transfer or termination of his account), the SMS redemption will continue for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any SMS redemption will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period.
Should the mobile phone number with a SMS redemption be temporarily suspended, the SMS redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for SMS redemption.
All other terms and conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards programme, including those for VAS redemption, apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Local MMS Redemption
Only applicable to local MMS (31.5¢ / 84¢ per MMS inclusive of GST).
Applicable only to M1 GSM customers.
MMS redemption can only be made on a mobile number registered in the customer's name. In the event that there is more than one MMS redemption, the second redemption period will begin after the first has ended.
The rebate from the MMS redemption will take effect from the customer's next billing date.
Should a customer change his mobile phone number midway through his MMS redemption (without any transfer or termination of his account), the MMS redemption will continue for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any MMS redemption will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period.
Should the mobile phone number with a MMS redemption be temporarily suspended, the MMS redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for MMS redemption.
All other terms and conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards programme, including those for VAS redemption, apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for IDD Redemption
M1 IDD 002 and Value Call 021 redemption are applicable to M1 GSM and M1 IDD Fixed Line customers.
Customers can choose to redeem for M1 IDD 002 or Value Call 021 airtime for periods of 3 / 6 / 9 months, tagged at different SunPerks points levels
002 / 021 airtime redemption can be made on a mobile phone number or fixed line registered in the customer's name.
A customer can only enjoy 1 redemption during the stipulated period.
If the customer has more than 1 mobile phone or fixed line number and makes more than one 002 / 021 airtime redemption at the same time, it will be applied to the mobile phone or fixed line number he specifies.
Should a customer change his mobile phone number midway through his 002 / 021 airtime redemption (without any transfer or termination of his account), the 002 / 021 airtime redeemed will be applicable for the remaining redemption period on the new mobile phone number.
Should a customer change his fixed line number midway through his 002 / 021 airtime redemption, the 002 / 021 airtime redeemed will not be applicable for the remaining redemption period.
The remaining value and/or SunPerks points of any 002 / 021 redemption will not be refunded upon the transfer or termination of a customer's account during the redemption period.
Should the mobile phone number with 002 / 021 redemption be temporarily suspended, the redemption will continue i.e. it will not be extended beyond the redemption period.
For 002 / 021 redemption, customers are required to redeem through a Customer Service Officer by calling Customer Service Hotline at 1627.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for IDD redemption.
All other terms and conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards programme apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Handset Upgrade Discount, Mobile Accessory Discount and Prepaid Cards
Use of handset upgrade discount and mobile accessory discount is subject to M1 Shop's existing business policies, and terms & conditions.
For redemption of handset upgrade discount, a two-year handset contract applies on the line of the customer. All other M1 Shop's handset upgrade terms and conditions also apply.
For redemption of M Card and Top-up card, terms and conditions of the M Card and Top-up card apply.
For redemption of 1818 International Calling Card (ICC), terms and conditions of the 1818 International Calling Card apply.
SunPerks vouchers will not be printed for Handset Upgrade Discount, Mobile Accessory Discount and Prepaid card redemptions.
All other terms and conditions pertaining to the SunPerks Rewards programme apply.
 
 
Terms & Conditions for Hotels
Twin sharing accommodation unless otherwise specified. Please call in advance for reservations. Bookings are subject to room availability and individual hotel booking terms and conditions (eg blackout dates, restrictions).
Any charges resulting from cancellation of confirmed bookings, amendments, etc, will be borne by the customer. The customer will be responsible for all cash top-ups, weekend/holiday surcharges incurred and these charges will be paid by the customer directly to the hotel.
Redemption of vouchers is subject to the individual hotel's terms and conditions, which the customer agrees to abide by, when accepting the voucher.
